Click Restore in the pop-up window on your computer.You will also see text at the top of your screen that says /iphone/restore. This screen looks like a lightning cable with a plus sign next to the iTunes logo. Continue to hold down the power button, volume down button, or home button until the recovery mode screen appears.Push the buttons on your iPhone until the power off slider appears.If you have an iPhone 6, press and hold the Home button and the Power button at the same time.If you have an iPhone 7 or an iPhone 7 Plus, press and hold the Power button and the “Volume Down” button at the same time.To unlock a newer iPhone (such as the iPhone X and later, and the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus), hold down the power button and either one of the volume buttons.There are different ways of doing this, depending on which iPhone you have. Initiate Recovery mode on your iPhone.You will have to plug it into your iPhone in a moment. Keep the end of the cable near the iPhone. Plug the cable into your computer, but not your iPhone.If you don’t have iTunes yet, you can download a copy from Apple and install it on your computer. Before doing this, make sure your iPhone is not connected to the computer yet.
